What you'll cover

Day 1 is SHO level — everything to do with STEMI's, hidden STEMI's and the Occlusion MI paradigm.

Day 2 is Senior SHO/Registrar level — we dive into arrhythmias from the bradycardias to malignant tachycardias. From the humble AF to the devil that is pre-excited WPW.

Day 1

Myocardial infarctions and their permutations.

STEMI
A practical, pragmatic approach to a common emergency situation.
Hidden STEMI
The eye does not see what the mind does not know. Just as deadly, but not as obvious.
Occlusion MI
Exploring the paradigm shift away from STEMI, and highlighting the failures of this age-old doctrine.
Heart Failure
When furosemide does not save you.
Atrial Fibrillation
A logical, systematic approach to a common problem.
Day 2

Arrhythmias. The why, and the how.

Glowing blue hourglass
Bradyarrhythmias
What to do when time slows down for you, rather than the patient.
VT or Not VT
All broad complex tachycardias are VT until proven otherwise. How to transcend "amiodarone and chill".
VT — Special Circumstances Edition
VT? Yes. Amiodarone? No. Confused? After this, you won't be.
Syncope
The lights go out — working out why.
Wolff-Parkinson-White
Why adenosine is not the enemy.
